a friend just told me yesterday that the farm store he works at is selling chicks. i've heard of people using them to feed theier snakes. if xerxes is a lil over 5 feet long would it be safe to feed these to him?

Yes. It'd be safe to feed chicks (prekilled) only be ready for the possibility that your snake may not prefer to return to mice afterwards.

:)

Yes, it safe to feed them chicks. I feed mine chicks but I rotate so I feed them chicks every once in awhile. I feed my smaller snakes, day old quail.

okay, well ive never tried to feed him f/t before so i shall try it this weekend. wish me luck...i may need it. is it even remotely possible to feed live? or would that be worse than feeding live mice?

Your snake will probably treat a fresh killed one just like a live one anyway.. But yeah, I really doubt there would be any danger to your snake with a live one.

My snakes have messier and stinkier poos with chicks than with mice though. Something to think about.:puke02:
