Cleaning...

So today I was just cleaning out my snake's (Rory) vivarium and put him in his feeding tank. While I was cleaning he decided to poop and then proceeded to slither through it MULTIPLE times... I decided since he did that I should give him a bath.. I made sure the water was room temp and let him swim in it.. I also rubbed him down and dried him off with a paper towel... he freaked out A LOT with the water, but luckily he didn't try and bite me with all the stress...

I'm wondering if there was something I could have done differently?

Any advice anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated...

Line the bottom of the feeding/holding tank with paper towels and pull them right out if he defecates. This will stop the problem from happening before it comes to needing to bathe your snake.

I do this when feeing and actually try to leave the snakes in the feeding bin until thier post meal poop happens. It helps keep the main tank clean and it's one less mess that I have to spot clean out of the aspen....
