Coconut bark versus repti bark or aspen

Ok I have searched for coconut bark threads and have found some stuff, but I the poll made me kinda question my use of coconut bark. I use coconut bark from T-rex and I had read in some of the threads that it keeps to much moisture. I have a hydrometer in the middle of my tank less than half way up the aquarium and I monitor the humidity very well and it easily stays between 40-50 % because the coconut bark retains a good bit of moisture. I was wondering how easily does repti bark or aspen keep bedding and would anyone suggest I change to either for the health of my snake? Thanks all.

I don't usually bump the humidity up to 50% or higher unless they are shedding. That said, I don't think it should be a problem as long as you don't let it stay damp all the time. It should dry out eventually and then I'd only spray if they are in blue. The only thing I didn't like about the coconut bark is that it was difficult to see the poops in there and some of it tended to be dusty;Leaving a fine brown fuzz all over my snakes. I did use the coconut bark in my egg boxes, well wetted and my girl loved it.

yeah I let it dry out pretty good and the humidity usually stays right at 45 but it will jump to 50 sometimes and drop to 40. It definately is hard to see the poop sometimes.
