Command cord clips safe?

Saw these and these in Walmart when I was hunting a digital indoor outdoor thermometer since I'm not happy with the original ones I bought, and it seems like they would be ideal for holding the cord out of the way and the probe down for my thermostat. I'm thinking the round for the base of the probe, and the flat for the back wall to channel the cord.

I've used their stuff just about everywhere in the house including on glass before, and those suckers really stay stuck until you pull the tab, so I can't see the snake getting stuck on them like tape. They're waterproof in my experience, so cleaning should not be an issue. I can snap the probe in and out for easier cleaning as well. And they are clear and unobtrusive, unlike the big black wire they'll be holding. :p

Anyone tried these before in their setup? Any risks you can think of? Adhesion is good up to 105, which my UTH should not be hitting with the new better thermometer and the thermostat. :p

Or, stick with the hot glue gun?
