I only have three done so far. I decided to take updated pictures of three of my 2010 kids I had gotten from a friend of mine right after I decided to get into breeding. They were the first snakes that I have ever had shipped to me. I used the pictures that the breeder had taken and then took new updated shots of them in the same size deli cup to show the difference. Here they are!
First we have Spitfire. She is an Anery het lavender, amel, motley and may or may not be het hypo. There was some question on whether or not her father was really hypo or not. The story behind her name is that when she first arrived she was NOT happy. Of the four in the box (the fourth snake was bought by someone else..we just split the cost of shipping), she was the one who was the most fiesty one. So, the name stuck. But you'd be surprised - she isn't one anymore! She is a sweetheart. She chows down on food like no tomorrow and is the biggest of the three.
Next up we have Brickery - Spitfire's sibling. She is a normal het anery, amel, motley, lavender and may or may not be hypo (Same reason as Spitfire). She is absolutely gorgeous and she has changed so much! I originally named her because to me - as a baby she looked like the color of bricks. Hence, the name! Now she's not so much a brick-red color..but her colors sure got lighter and she is gorgeous! She's not as big as her sister but she is definitely catching up. She eats like a champ once a week as well and never refuses a meal. She will eat while being in shed and has never regurged! (Of course when she is in shed I usually don't try to feed her..but if I do, I usually feed her a smaller meal)
And third we have Chiisao or Chii for short, a butter ph mot You'll see that she was extremely tiny when she was a hatchling (and when she first came to me). She was a non-feeder that just would not eat for the breeder. I got her at a deal to fill up the last spot in the box. She was well worth the extra few dollars I spent! Six months I spent trying every trick in the book with her - while assist feeding in the end. She never did regurgitate on me and seemed okay with the assist feeding. Through this we bonded quite a bit. After six months though I tried one last time to feed her - using an african soft furred pinky (had tried this before with no success). I walked out of the room for a few minutes to check on something (she was in a deli cup) and when I returned, she was eating! I quite literally did a happy dance. Anyways, a week later she ate her first f/t on her own and after that she hasn't stopped. She's definitely one of the smaller ones of my 2010's but she is most definitely catching up. She is absolutely gorgeous though.
And that's it!
ALso, if anyone knows of anyone that may be selling any males that have hypo, lav, amel, anery, mot/stripe in the next year or so let me know. I'm on the lookout for a male to pair up with Spitfire and Brickery when they are ready to prove out the hypo.
