Just Cruising Thru
I had to post this up.This is my male Anery hooking up with a female Amel het Anery. He is an 08 and this is his first year breeding. As you can tell by the pic he wasn't sure which way to hook up. I went to check up one him and he keep trying to hook up right below her head. Well after about 15 min's of this I put him in the same way as her and he finally figured it out.:cheers:

Yeah she didn't move at all and he just kept pushing on her neck. I think its one of the funniest things that I have seen one of my snakes do. :crazy02:
 
my male has a little experience and he gets so excited it takes him 10 min. sometimes to realize he needs to turn around, of course when he does it gets the females moving which gets him even more off track and usually turns into 20 min. before actual hook up. This is his 2nd year breeding who knows if he'll ever grow out of it.Lol
 
My male snow was like that his first year. Now the last too years he has been a aggressive breeder. I put him in with one of my females this year and he pushed her all around the tub till he go her in to the position he wanted her in. lol I think my little anery needs to take lessons from my snow.:cool:
 
I have read of inexperienced male mammals trying all sorts of similar things before getting "on target" so it doesn't surprise me with snakes! :rofl:
