Cornwallis the Great

Hail_Britannia

Animals > People.
Hi all. I used to post on here a lot in 2008/09 when I first got into snake keeping. That snake was an amelanistic corn snake hatchling named Cornwallis. She was a perfect first snake. Never missed a meal, calm, easygoing, and beautiful. I introduced her to many people who were nervous of snakes, and it gave them a new perspective. Although I haven't posted in a long time, it felt right to post this picture of Cornwallis in her prime. She passed today. She had developed a mass, was losing weight, and would not eat. It was the end. She was around 18 years old and exceptionally healthy up until this point. I wanted to thank everyone who helped me as a novice snake keeper, and also to encourage other newbies. I hope your snakes have lives as long and healthy as Cornwallis did. Slither on, babe. We miss you already.
