Dessert Snow

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone here uses dessert snow substrate. I used it b4 and i liked it but then i switched to aspen. Shortly after making this switch my 2 corns, which stay together, became infected with mites. I stopped using the aspen and started using newspaper while treating them for the mites. I just recently got rid of the mites and want to switch back to a better substrate because i dont think the snakes like the newspaper very much, and i think they are a little stressed out because of it. I was just wondering what your opions are on dessert snow and if you have heard of aspen bringing in mites . Plus dessert snow is kinda hard to find.

One more short question. Where is a good place online to buy cheap items for corns. Thanks guys
