Ive heard people talk of a thermometer with a probe thats cheap for my viv.... can anyone tell me where to buy one online?

If you don't already have one, you should get a thermostat, rather than a thermometer. That way you don't have to be constantly watching the temperatures.

I just got Zoo Med 500r fthermostat from Big Al's Online. It was only $20.00. I thnk it is back up to $22 but thats still not bad for a thermostat. It also controls two heating units if you need it to. Dont try to get it from the store or else it is more like $40-50.

It is a good idea to get a thermostat, but you will still need a thermometer as well. When I first set up my thermostats, I found that the settings were not as accurate as I thought they'd be, but after I'd used the thermometer to set the thermostat, it stays at a constant temperature :)

I got my digital thermometer from Walmart for about 8 dollars. It was hard for me to find at first until a few nice ppl here helped me out. They're called Indoor/Outdoor thermometers... Walmart had them in their home improvement section next to the lightbulbs and fans. If there's a Walmart near you, that might be cheaper and easier than buying online. Then again, online means you don't have to step inside the scary beast that is the Walmart.

:eek1:

I got an AcuRite digital thermometer at Lowe's. I don't know where you are from, or if you have one in your area, but I'm sure Ace Hardware has them too.

They measure humidity, ambient temp, and the temp of where ever you put the probe.
