My corn snake is just about 1 year old and is a little hard to keep steady on my shoulders or on my arm for a chill handling session while watching a movie. She would normally always smelll around and try to see how she could get away from me onto other pieces of furniture. But there are two things that I find keeps her with me: a big shawl on my shoulders under which she can hide her body (she would then stick her head out where my neck is) and rubbing her chin gently with the side of a finger. When I try to touch her anywhere else she would back up, keep on moving or move faster, but when I touch her there, she calms down and keeps her head on my finger.
Do your snakes also do that? Do you know why? Do you have pictures or videos?
