over the last few weels I've noticed a small white "string of pearls" looking substance in a few different water bowls - each of the cages it was present are of babies, maybe less than 8 months - this was the first year in maybe 8 or 9 tears that I purchased babies so I can't remember this happening before. it looks like it could be sprem but I would think they might be too young for that + why would they be discharging it now?

Thnks all

It could be urates (the white bit of their poo). I have noticed this sometimes and thats what I put it down to. I dont think its sper seeing as I noticed it in my female hatchlings tank. Or maybe I should question her sexuality!! ;)

yeah, when i put my snake in the bath,or when he climbs into his waterbowl he seems to relax a bit too much, ;)

Hope i helped :D

what I am talking about doesnt appear to be feces. it is very small and other wise the water appears clean

You've got me really curious...

Because I have never seen anything like that. I do have one snake that will go to the bathroom in the water but it is obvious that that is what it is.

Hope you can get a decent pic.

Have you tried touching this stuff? Is is firm?

Curiouser and Curiouser...
