DREAM COME TRUE!!!

At 1:43 this morning I received a phone call from my favorite group all-time; BONE THUGS-N-HARMONY!!!. They are the #7 selling rap group of all-time and I spoke with Wish and Flesh, and said hello to Layzie and Bizzy. I almost passed out when the phone rang, but the conversation was incredible. They truly love their fans, and I've been through the roof excited all day about the call. I never in a million years thought it would happen, but it did; I feel SO blessed!. Here's a song they did in the 90's called "Crossroads". It was very popular and you may have even heard it a few time. All I can say is if you have faith, dreams really can come true!!!!!.

That's pretty cool!

Congrats!

Thank you so much!. I can't say enough how gracious they are, and how musically gifted they are either. They've inspired me and helped me change my life and I feel so lucky to have had this opportunity. It started, because I wrote a letter to the Brand Manager to ask if I could be one of 500 people chosen to be in the groups VIP club. That meant access to pictures, videos, info, and even certain deals. Last night they were calling fans after a studio session so I stayed up waiting for a call. At 1:43 my phone rang, and I was just overwhelmed. It felt like being plunged into the ocean after lying in the sun all day. At first I was just like "Oh my god", but after a few seconds I started talking with them. Flesh was on the phone the longest, and he is such a great person. I can't think of any musicians who do this, and it made my whole week, month, and year. Definitely a dream come true!.

What always gets me, when something like this happens, is thinking of what to say. If a person, that was famous and I idolized, called my house, I'd probably sound like some kind of a babbling idiot, as I stumbled over my search for words. I'm not saying that you did that. ;) That is really cool that they took the time to talk to you.

So how did the conversation go? I still think that it's really cool!

Congrats again

Congrats to you! Glad you were able to talk... I don't know what to say when I meet celebs... LOL.

The conversation was very cool!. I know what you mean about finding out what to say. It started off with me frozen for about 6 seconds, then I said "who's this?", just because I was still not believing it, and that's when he said "It's Wish Bone man". I was just shocked by this point, but I didn't want to spoil the opportunity by freezing up. Then I just told him how much their music means to me, and he said how he appreciated it, and that the fans are everything. Then he passed the phone down the group to Flesh Bone, but on it's way down the line Layzie Bone grabbed it and said "hey man, this Lay", and then to Bizzy Bone who just said "What's up this is Bizzy!".

Then the phone ended up with Flesh. He was the most generous at the time. He asked me how I was, and stuff like that, and then he asked where I was from?. So I told him I was from New Hampshire, and he was like "No doubt!; we're definitely going to do a show there, and we'll put on a performance". I told him how great that would be, and then just told him how much I love the group and how appreciative I was that they called, and he was like "Much love, man, much love. I totally appreciate it and we love the fans". We talked for a little bit after that, and that was it!.

They were just getting out of a studio session and were calling up a few fans, so he had to go call a few more, but overall it was the most exciting thing to ever happen. I've always thought they were the #1 group all-time, and just seeing how much they appreciate their fans is what solidifies it. Their real people with extraordinary talent, and I will always remember the conversation. Also, about a half an hour later their Brand Manager Bobby Francis called and said "What's up Ricky?, how's it going?". Then he asked me how the conversation went, and was like "So where you from?.", so I said "New Hampshire". He then laughed and say's "New Hampshire, it must be 2am?", so I said "ya", but I told him it was worth it a million times over, and that I probably wouldn't be able to sleep. Then he said they'll do it again soon, if I wanted to talk again. I really appreciated him taking the time to call me, and he really is the best. My birthday's in a week, and this was by far the best gift I could imagine!.
