My turtles love duckweed. I have been buying it for them for awhile now. I read online that it is easy to breed. I have not had any luck with this since my turtles eat it right away.

Does anybody have any suggestions on breeding (if that is the right word) duckweed?

How much do you want, that stuff is constantly growing in my fish tanks.
Any fish tank with a good bright light will work. Duck weed is one plant that does not like fast moving water. This stuff just grows crazy for me. I just dump it in my turtle tanks and I still have tons of it.
Another great way to grow it is using a out door whiskey barrel and setting it outside and letting nature take its course. I always fill it up with Guppies to control the bugs but other than that, its pretty easy.
 
I was trying to grow it in a fish tank. The filters make the water moving fast. I am going to try another tank. Thank you for the suggestions.
