very nice, I like the 2nd picture, gives a bit of a mysterious look to it :) I have a Nikon D5000 as well. They're awesome camera's but need some getting used to :)

IAWTC. I spent a good 20 minutes figuring out how to slow down the shutter speed and what have you, to get that "soft flowing" effect on moving water.
 
I've got the same camera.

Here's a pic taken in my back yard, definitely one of my favorites so far.
