Eye problems during shedding?

My 4 month old Carolina just shed for the second time since I've had him. The first time it went perfectly but I noticed that he has some shed left around his eyes? The actual eyecaps came off, just the shed around them didn't.
I raised the humidity yesterday and tried soaking him, but he's very wiggly and I don't really want to force his head underwater.
Any advice from someone who's been through the same thing? I've been told by a breeder to let him travel trough some damp clothes. It's never happened to me before!
 
I would put him in a deli cup with a damp paper Fowler, let him sit in their for 20 minuets or so andthat should get the shed off from around his eyes. :)

It worked like a charm for my tail tip! ;)
 
Run room temp water over a washcloth then ring it out and let him crawl through it then. If he has any patches of left over shed they should come right off in the fibers of the washcloth very easily and with no problems.
