Feed if not gone from last week?

Ok, I know i have seen a few questions like this recently but they were geared more towards hatchlings and younger snakes. My snake is two years old, 136 grams and fed every 7 days following the Muson plan. Usually she is VERY normal as far as doing her #2 two and a half to 3 days after feeding. Today will be 7 days and I have not seen ANTHING. I took every last bit of aspen out and still no poop. Should I go ahead and feed her tonight anyway, or am I just worrying too much?

She's a bigger girl, not a baby. If she isn't in blue, I'd feed her. Maybe with a baby I'd be worried, but there's room inside her for the residue of her last mouse and also today's mouse, so I'd just feed her. Or if you are worried, take her out for some pre-meal exercise or a swim in a lukewarm tub, both of those seem to get my snakes to poop.

I'd vote for feeding now. The snake doens't have a diary and it will rarely poop exactly as expected. As they get older and meals get larger and further apart, their digestion will change rhythm.

Feeding plans are just guidelines, so feel free to tweak them so that you end up with what works for the snake and you.

Went ahead and fed her last night like you guys said.... I woke up this morning and checked the tank, sure enough right in her favorite spot was what was left of last weeks mouse :) thanks for the advice you two

Great news :)

People who don't own Corns, don't understand how we can get so excited over poop!

It freaked me out when my first corn did this. She didn't poop in a week and I was worried. Now it's a normal thing with her. I just get her out more often to help work things down so to speak. I've notice she has gotten a little lazy lately and don't move around much unless I get her out. So you may just need to play with her a bit more if you want her to poo before her next meal.

Sometimes mine won't defecate until the day after I feed them again. I never really worried about this, because my own digestion can be weird the same way. Then again, only one of mine is big enough that I can be sure I'll definitely FIND the poop every time. I subscribe to the "they'll eat when they want to" school of thought with well-started, older corns. That's one area where mine have, so far, always been reliable.
