Feeding Box

Hethiss

New member
Hi all. I was wondering if any could suggest what to use as a larger feeding box. I've been using a small hamster box (basically a little box with a lid with tiny slits around the edge and a small hinged panel on top) which I cleaned up and used since I got Hethiss but now he is quite a bit bigger I was wondering what people suggest to use.

I see you are in the UK so I'm not sure what you have but anything that you can secure during feeding really!! Plastic containers usually because they are light weight and clean easy.

Thanks for the ideas.

@Soulwind: Thats exactly what I have been using but a medium one so I might go see if I can find a large one somewhere.

Yep, you can get those in a range of sizes here in the UK. You should be able to find a bigger one without too much trouble.

I went to big lots and bought a plastic clear container with a snap on lid. It was $2.00 I then made breathe holes all around the top of the container. Be sure the holes aren't to big as snakes can fit through openings you wouldn't think the could fit through. Also be sure to sand down all the edges even if they don't feel sharp or jagged. You don't want to chance your snake getting hurt.

I used to use just a rubbermaid tub, but it got to taking to long having to wait for each snake to finish eating and then repeat with the other 7. Throw a couple picky eaters in there and I just said whatever, and started feeding in their tubs
