I Want More Snakes
Hi.
I have been feeding my Amel Cornsnake 2 Pinkies twice a week ever since I have had him because that is what the Pet shop was feeding him on.
But I want to feed him on 3 Pinkies twice a week to get him onto Fuzzys quicker ? Is this a good idea or should I just stick it out with feeding him the 2 Pinkies a week ? ?

Please Help. lol..

So you already feed 4 pinks a week and now want to go up to 6 a week? No, no, no. Most people feed one or two a week. You sound like your power feeding which could be harmful to your snake.

If your snake can handle all them without regurging then it can definately handle fuzzies, you should be feeding ONE appropraite sized prey item a week, and it should be about 1 to 1 and a half times the fattest part of your snake ie. the belly, ignore your snakes head size when choosing prey size.

PS I aw your other thread, don't co-habitat your snakes, they're solitary animals, theres a whole host of reasons you shouldn't do it, do a search on the term co-habbing using the search function to find out more.

Thanks for that. I will not up him to 3 pinkies a feed.
And he is fine with 4 pinkies a week he does not regurgitate anything. So for the next feed I will put him onto Fuzzys. Should I just give him one Fuzzy or 2 fuzzys ? which would be best.

Will I not bebale to feed him 2 Fuzzys as I am feeding him 4 pinkies a week at the moment ? Or will that be 2 much for him ? ?

THE MUNSON PLAN

-When they're on single pinks (2-3g), I feed every 4-5 days. (Snake = 4-15g)
-Double pinks (3g x 2) every 4-5 days. (Snake = 16-23g)
-Small fuzzies (5-7g) every 5-6 days. (Snake = 24-30g)
-Regular fuzzies (7-9g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 30-50g)
-Hoppers (9-12g) every 5-6 days (Snake = 51-90g)
-Weaned (14-20g) every 7 days (Snake = 91-170g)
-Adult (24-30g) every 7-x days (Snake = 170+)
-Jumbo Adults (40-50g) every 7-x days (Snake = 400g+)

If is says feed every 4-5 days, you're probably better off choosing 5 days. If it says 5-6 days, choose 6 days... and so on.

Safest option by far.
 
Hi, That is Brilliant, Thanks for that. My snake the last time I weighed him was 25g. So I think I should put him onto Small Fuzzys now. I will go out and buy some tomorrow for his next feed.

Once I have fed him the Fuzzy. How Long should I leave it till I can pick him up again after digesting the fuzzy ?

Yeah I have been Waiting 48 hours b4 handling him again. So that should be fine.
