Feeding/shedding clarification

Phoenix turned in very early last night and hasn't come out at all today except to drink, which makes me think he might be getting ready to shed. (He's certainly due for one!) Feeding day is Wednesday, and I know I've seen people say that they'll feed their snakes while they're getting ready to shed, but I'm just not sure of the chances of him eating or if there are any particular points in the shed cycle where they shouldn't be fed, etc. So maybe I should move his feeding up to tomorrow to see if he'll take it, or just wait it out until he sheds, or feed on the normal day...? I don't know if there's a significant difference between these options or not but I wanted to check with more knowledgeable people before making a decision!

I have had some snakes turn down a meal when they are going into shed and I have had some still feed like nothing was happening

I would suggest that if your snake is milked over i.e. The eyes they might turn it down

I don't think that they see a lot with their eyes but I think it is a stressful time

I've had Lana for a year, I have fed her at least 3-4 times when she is getting ready to shed. She has yet to turn anything down. The first time was an accident, the other times I just figured if she didn't eat I would just chuck the mouse and wait until her shed was done. She was underweight when I got her so I didn't want her to miss a meal if she didn't have to. Although, I should mention, she was just passed the milky eyes stage or just prior to milky eyes.
