hey there !

I got three corn at home ( approx 5 month ) and each corn eat 3 fuzzy's a week.They digesting them very fast ( approx less 60 hours ). They growing fast and shedding each 2/3 weeks. Only times they refuses the fuzzy it's 3 days before shedding.Not one of them getting fat.

I'm just wondering, if i do not feed them too much food ?! Or .....

Do you know how much the snakes weigh?

Also, do you feed three fuzzies at a time, once a week? Or one fuzzy at a time, three times a week? Either way, that seems like an awful lot to be feeding 5-month old corns.
 
I have snakes that are the same age as yours. They are one ONE fuzzy every 5days and doing well.

If yours are that big and digesting that fast, you should be increasing the prey size, not how many small items you feed them.

Once mine are on hoppers, they get fed once every 7days.

I do not know how much the three snakes weight however they are quite lean. There is 1 male (60 cm, normal corn) and 2 females (1 crimson 55 cm and the other one ghost 40 cm).

The male is actually less aggressive than the other two. He refuses to eat everything small and goes for the big ones. Also I have noticed that he does not eat black fuzzies, only the lighter coloured ones. Do they smell different or what?

Thanks for the idea of feeding them larger prey although i am rather afraid of them getting hurt in any way since they are still quite young.
 
If they can eat three fuzzies they can swallow something bigger.
Remember that the snakes stretch and expanding to 1.5x their thickest part is what they're meant to do.

Do yourself a favor and switch to frozen/thawed mice and you don't have to worry about injuries.
 
Well even snakes that are barely growing will shed. Take adults for example once they've maxed out they're still shedding :shrugs:

But I agree, stop feeding live, or start stunning the prey before hand.

Hawkin', frozen food is impossible to get in some areas here. I've had snakes for years and have only recently been able to get frozens.

You should however be pre-killing or at least stunning the prey before feeding it to your snakes.

Corns are naturally long and skinny, they aren't pythons or boas. :)

About your male only eating light coloured fuzzies, this is quite normal, I had a male that would only eat black or brown. They usually grow out of it. :santa:
