feeding while shedding.

well kratos (my cornsnake) has been turning a blackish color now for about a week and a half. and today is his usual feeding day but when i checked him i noticed his eyes are clouded over. which from research states he is ready to shed soon. now my question is do i just skip feeding till he is fully shed, or should i still take him out and feed him?

Depends on who you ask and it depends on the snake. Some people refrain from feeding while a snake is in "blue" because there is an increased chance that they will regurge. Some snakes don't eat when they are in blue and some eat like regular.

So to sum it up, it's up to you lol. If you try and your snake doesn't eat, wait until it is fully shed, it won't hurt the snake to not eat for those couple extra days.

I always offer. If they refuse, they refuse. But if you don't offer, it's no big deal either...like Porro said, it doesn't hurt them to go without until they shed. If you have a specific reason to go one way or the other, this might influence your decision. Like if he has a history of regurges or is a big snake, you might choose not to feed. Or if he's small, you might decide to offer.
