Female gravid?

Hi,

Around middle of march my two females, a blizzard and a snow went into shed at exactly the same time and I started putting them together with the males. The blizzard hooked up with my proven motley male right away, however the Snow was fussy and I had to leave her in some of the guys' cages overnight. I had been feeding each of the females a mouse every four days to put weight on them before they went off food for egg-laying. However the blizzard is showing obvious signs of being gravid, she went off food a week ago and she is now in blue phase for her prey lay shed. However with the snow I never saw any kind of breeding, interest from her, or "evidence" with any of the males that I left her with, but she is now in shed again. She hasn't gone off food like she did when she was gravid last year, yesterday she ate two adult mice b/c my male refused his. At first I thought that this might be a second post brumation shed b/c she has not shown interest in the males yet...Although now I am worrying again. Could she be gravid? or is all the food that I am giving her making her grow some? (She was very petite before I got her.) Should I put a nest box in with her?

I wish i could feel the eggs (i think its called palpatate) like a lot of people say they can but all I can feel is squishiness in both.

Sorry for the length of the post but thanks for looking.

I am afraid I don't know the answers to most of your questions, but I can say for sure that if there is the slightest chance she is gravid - put a nestbox in. The worst that can happen is that you took the time to do it for nothing. This is much better than the opposite case where she was gravid and you didn't provide a nest-box and she became egg-bound.
