Hey you guys i watch irwin alot and i give him baths every other day unless he is eating. I have 2 hide boxes,a big water dish,a branch for climing, and a basking spot. I watch him alot, hold him,and i also check on him every now and then. I never see him basking in his light or in his water dish.
So here are my questions,

Why does he never go in his dish?

Why does he never bask?

Well since you said that you give him a bath once in a while, they he should have enough humidity and thinks that his skin is moist enough so that he doesn't need to soak himselfe in the water dish.

Well since it's summer now, I would think that the temp in the tank is already good enough for it to digest it's food without even going to the heated spot, thus, he doesn't need to go there. Maybe in the winter time he will go there. Or maybe it's just that he has been there just that you haven't really seen him there when he is.....

Hope this helped

Good Luck and Happy Herping!

1st - My corns never go in their water dishes to soak, only go to drink. It's normal behavior. Oh - unless you live in a really dry climate (Jacksonville? not really), he really doesn't need to be "bathed" every other day. Or probably at all, judging from your location.

2nd - Since corns are nocturnal, they don't really go and bask in light like a lizard.
