first breeding project

I was interested in starting breeding.

Unfortunately, I know nothing about it or the genetics.

What would be a good "starter" project for corn breeding?

Eventually, after I get some experience, I'd like to try some more advanced morphs.

But for now I'm just looking for some thing besides normals which can be acquired for not a lot of $, which may produce some interesting offspring.

This would be more for my own enjoyment than for profit.:)

One other part to this question, can some one explain what Het and homozygous means, and what are some other breeding terms I should know?

I'm gonna go and buy a book on this as soon as I get paid, just thought I'd get a head start.

Thanks!:D

A decent head start...

Below is a link to my genetics tutorial. It's especially useful as a refresher if you learned the basics in high skewl.

It's not any "harder" to breed specific morphs, so find what you like (and can afford) and breed those. :)
