First shed(?) questions

After coming back home yesterday from vacation (was gone 5 days), I noticed that Prometheus was hiding in the late evening (which was a first since I've got him). Same with today. So I dug around to make sure he actually was still in the cage (and not dead :awcrap:). Thankfully he wasn't (dead, obviously). But I did notice that his colors seem pretty dull so I'm assuming he's at some point during the shedding process. I tried to look at his eyes, but couldn't tell if they were cloudy at all.

So now my questions;

Should I bother handling him at all?
Should I attempt to feed him at all (last feed was May 11th, 7 days ago)?
Should I just leave him undisturbed now for a couple days before checking on him again (changing water not included)?
And should I bother with increasing the humidity if it's around 50-60%?

I'd leave handling and feeding until after he sheds. They can't see properly during the process and so are extra nervous. I've never had a regurge when feeding during a shed but others have. It might be best avoided with a new snake. It's a good time to leave them in peace.

Where you are I wouldn't worry about extra humidity unless you use a lot of aircon. If there's a problem this time (and there's no reason why there should be) then you can put a humid hide in with him next time.
