well my snake went through her first shed with me it was a whole body shed. nose to tail. I fed her 4 days ago and handled her while she was loosening up. I didn't even realise she was getting ready to shed. I'm a no0ob. anyways all went well!

Congrats...

I have had Ares for three months now.. a while back when he had his first shed, my son had come into the bedroom on Saturday morning to wake me up for breakfast.. he had looked in Ares' tank and said, "Mom, what's this plastic thing in here with Ares?" Curious, I got up and looked.. he had shed a whole shed overnight.

It was beautiful.. a whole body shed, nose to tail with eye caps... and like the proud Mom I am.. I kept it. LOL.. it's in a scrap book in an air tight bag.

I'm such a mother hen. LOL

I had to explain to my son that it wasn't a plastic thing but Ares' shed skin.

yeah I have a snow and I noticed yesterday her eyes looked a little different but, being new to snakes I didn't think anything of it. This morning my daughter thought we had 2 snakes. it was pretty funny. lol

I feel that way about Firefly, my new amel. I've never had one before and am not sure how she'll look different when she sheds. Do their eyes turn cloudy? Anyway, yesterday I checked on her and her colors seemed duller/darker than usual, so I've increased the humidity in her viv just in case.

Their color will look dull. I have only seen one of my snakes in blue and that was the butter, the others I notice them getting dull and then find the shed skin in their viv.

They will look dull and they will still get cloudy eyes but some times red snakes will change colors completely. One of my Amels turns bright pink and I have a bloodred that is brown when he is in shed.
