Florida Kingsnake Temps?

Hey,

After reviewing a bunch of caresheets online, I'm getting a mixed message. The majority say to keep my Florida King at 70-80 cold side and 81-91 hot side but a few say to keep them at 70-75 cold and 80-85 hot. I've been keeping him at 70-75 cold and 84 hot but I just boosted the heat to 75-80 cold and 88-90 hot. Is this acceptable or will he get burnt?

Hey Black_Shark,

You are over thinking this. Just keep the warm side between 80' to 90'. I like to keep mine at 85'. The cool side - well mine stays at what ever the house temp is no colder than 65' because that is what the heater is set at and the cool side will not get higher than 80 because that is what the Air Conditioner is set at.

Basically I only care about the warm side because if they get to cool they will move to the warm side or some place in the middle.

Hope this helps

Love the Fatman

Haha yeah, it does. I'm a big time overthinker/OCD when it comes to my snakes. I like to have my husbandry perfect!
