Frozen mice. Soft bellies.

I purchased a bag of frozen mice at the last Tampa Show... They have worked out great for me so far but it seems their bellies are getting softer. Too much rough treatment during de-thawing from me or a good squeeze from my snake seems to bring out the best in them. Its pretty gross. Any suggestions?? Are my mice just getting to old? :shrugs:

Ive noticed the longer i have pinkys in the freezer the softer the bellys on some of them seem to get. Could just be the act of freezing and then thawing weakens the skin?.

Almost makes me want to return to prekilling mice. Mine were not vacuum sealed. I bet that has a lot to do with it.

hummm, I can't say I have noticed that then again I keep mine vacuum sealed in groups of 5 by weight so they are never exposed for to long before becoming a meal.
