Frozen Mouse Question

Hi,

I am new to corns and this forum.

I got my first corn about 3 weeks ago, and somehow got another 1 1/2 weeks ago. :shrugs: I have a bearded dragon and veiled chameleon..always wanted a snake.

The first corn was free...it was a classroom pet and they said it was to aggressive of a feeder for the classroom.... :shrugs: I don't have any problems with her.

The second one I traded two Russian Tortoises for....he is as tame as a dog...
I just love them both and wonder what took me so long to get one.

I read on the one forum for the "cornaholics" that if it was a trade that it doesn't count!!! :)

My question is, I just received my first order of 50 forzen mice. Do you recommend leaving them all in the bag together or separate them into a mouse or two per freezer bag?..... or do they " come apart" well after being frozen?

I really like this forum....especially checking the snakes for sale part!!!! Hmmm those candycane corns looks nice, the butters are cool, the bloodreds....
Yikes at least I don't have an addictive personality!! :)

Well I enjoy this forum and have learned alot.

Thanks,

Karen

I just leave them in the bag all together that's what I do anyway

what are you feeding it on?

and how big is it?

I would leave them in the same bag. With their fur, they should "come apart" just fine. They *shouldn't* be in a block of ice so you shouldn't have a problem. They'll be frozen, but easily separated. Now if the bag that they come in isn't resealable, I would recommend putting them in new, sealable bags.

lol, nah we don't have addictive personalities here.... :sidestep:

Welcome to the forums Karen! :wavey:

From one certainly not addicted cornaholic to another...I personally seperate my mice roughly into 20's (in ziploc bags)...generally by size...
It makes it a bit easier for me to feed my two....don't have to pull out the whole giant bag and dig around for the right size.
It's all personal preference tho.
Good luck!

Hey. Welcome! I bought a vacuum sealer and when i get the mice i seal the in seperat bags of 5. That way they last along time
