Just given Chione her first feed in her new home. i placed some paper towel on the floor of the tank, placed a pinkie on the paper and "rencouraged" Chione to investigate... her mouth opens and she grabs the pinkie by its bum and down it goes :) same story with pinkie number 2.
i had a good play with her last night and again this morning before her dinner and she is accepting handling really well.
so, i`s likje to give a big thankyou to everyone on these forums - your posts have taught me loads already and given me the confidence to really enjoy my new pet.

That's also a very pretty name. How do you pronounce it? I'm thinking "kee-own-neh" kinda Italian-ish thinking I suppose.
 
The Chione is from ancient greek mythology. Chione was the goddess of Snow (or goddess of the north wind depending on how you translate it) which i thought was pretty apt for a snow corn :)
As for pronunciation i`m not 100% sure but i`ve settled on key-own-ee but i could be wrong :)
As for pictures, well as and when i get a digital camera i`ll provide pictures but for now you`ll just have to imaging a typical pink-and-white snow corn about 18" long (did a comparative measure - i had her crawl across my keyboard and she`s almost exactly as long as it is wide :)
