Habitats.

Well, a 20 gallon tank is the minimum housing requirement for one adult corn. If you've got the room and the money, you can go bigger.
Lots of people use Sterilite tubs or Rubbermaid tubs because they are a lot cheaper and easily organized in rack systems.
I'll assume you already know everything about the heat source and the hides.

What are you keeping it in now?

I am keeping him in a 20 gallon tank, but I want to know what he needs to be comfortable in his tank, bedding and whatnot....what kind of setting would he need?

Paper towels are cheap and easy to get.
A lot of people use shredded aspen bedding.
Cedar bedding is toxic so you definitely don't want to use that.
You need a heat pad or a heat lamp to bring the surface temperature on one part of the tank to about 85ºF. You need a minimum of two hides, on on the warm side and one on the cooler side. A water bowl always containing fresh water is also necessary.
Do a search in the Photo Gallery forum to see what kind of habitats some people have.

what are hides

Hides are anything that the snake can go under to feel secure. Most pet stores and reptile stores around here sell a bark hide. I use two of those and I also use a empty paper towel roll. He loves to hide in that.

Hide boxes, something like a paper towel tube that your snake can hide in. They don't have good eyesight so they like to hide and feel secure.
If your snake is 3.5 ft long then I'd suggest bigger like an empty Kleenex box or something similar in which your snake can fit comfortably. Flowerpots turned upside down can work too.
Check around the Photo gallery. Here is one that I found really quickly.

Has anyone mentioned The Corn Snake Manual to you? You can buy it at www.corn-utopia.com and it's more than worth the money. Pretty much all of the questions you asked are answered in it. I'm not saying this in a scolding way at all, but did you just buy a corn without knowing anything about it or someone unexpectedly gave it to you or what? Just curious, I swear I don't mean it in a scolding way :)
