He finally did it...

Fignuts!
My lil Bradley finally managed to break out of his home lastnight. However im quite sure he talked my cat into helping him.

I was watching TV in my room lastnight and noticed one of my cats on top of Bradley's viv. This is not really unusual. My cats enjoy watching him cruise the tank, and will persistantly sleep on top his viv (although i tend to spray them with the water bottle when ever i catch them). In fact, id have to say that the cats and lil Bradley are quite comfortable with each other. If I have Bradley out of the viv, and the cats come near me, neither the cats nor the snake give each other a second though...

Anyways... back to my story...

So I notice one of my cats on top the viv and yell at him. He doesn't budge. So i hiss at him and yell again. Still wont move. So i take off the hat im wearing at the time, and toss it at the cat. It nail shim in the head and he still wont move! Im thinking the cats got a bad attitude and go for my handy-dandy spray bottle i keep for Bradleys humidity, at which point, the cat runs.

So i go back to watching TV and my wife and sis come into the bedroom and we start talking. All of a suddent my sister lets out shriek and points to corner of my room... 3 (of my 5) cats are sitting in a semi-circle around Bradley across the room. Funny thing is... they are all staring at my sister, even the snake. I run over and scoop up Bradley, who i figure must being having a heart attack... Nope Bradley seemed more freaked out about my sister yelling and my scooping him up then did about the cats. After about a minute and half (of staring in the direction of my sister)... Bradley starts squirming around and acting like his normal self.

My guess is that the cat had managed to pull the lid up off the viv just enough for Bradley to get out. :shrugs:

Needless to say, i'm feeling very very gratefull today that none of my cats have an interest in hunting. I will never call them lazy again.

I think you're just lucky that you found him before they decided whether to use butter and garlic or a regular marinade!

quite the story, interesting enough my cat used to jump in my 130 gal aquarium where i was housing a bearded dragon and just sit and watch her(the dragon) who didnt seem to mind. Sorry I know it's not corn related but your story reminded me of it and I thought I'd share.
