Hi guys and gals,
Just a question from another new guy.
I've had my hatchling corn (my first) for about 2 weeks, and it seems to have settled in pretty well, feeding regularly and looking fairly happy.
My question: As I live in South Africa, daytime room temps in my house can reach in excess of 30C (about 86F I think), making this the temp in my vivarium as well (summer down here at the moment).
Obviously any additional heat will be too much. Does the snake need a warm floor to lie on to aid digestion, or will the high ambient air temp be sufficient? Obviously my tank don't have a temp gradient at the moment, since I would have to cool it down to achieve this.
I have a underfloor heat pad with a thermostat installed, but it looks as if I won't be needing this till winter!
Thanks for any comments
