Hello everybody after a few weeks of waiting and research I get my new corn 3 days ago, today was my first day that I handle it, I was so excited that I was trembling, maybe I scared the guy a little, tomorrow I will try to give a pinkie head and see what happen, I´m crossing my fingers and hoping that it will eat without a problem, so I´m sure that later on the way I will have a few questions and I´m also sure that you guys will help me with.

So finally I just have to say that I´m glad to find this forum that was a lot of help already!

P.d. Sorry for my grammar but English is not my first language.

Hello and Congrats on your new Corn.

I am also quite new to Snake handling and at first i was also a little nervous of handling my Snake and he was also nervous of me i think.

However my snake soon got used to me handling him and vise versa. The guy at the pet store told me the only time not to pick him up is just after he feeds as he will still be in feed mode.

Hello all, I've had corns for a few years now but only registered here a short while back.
I have quite a menagerie of pets:
2 dogs
1 cat
5 corns (Okeetee, Snow, Jungle and 2 youngsters I bred, cross Amel/Okeetee)

One of the youngsters just fed a couple of days ago after 5 months of refusing. Altogether I've had 2 good hatches this year.

I'm in Scotland (Aberdeen) so the adults will be winding down for the winter within the next couple of months. The weather here is perfect for brumating the snakes and when they re appear, they're ready to go.

well, thanks to all and we'll see tonight how it goes the feeding thing!

My corn is an amel but not sure about the sex, so in a few days after it gets more established I will try to check it, anyway I'm not in a hurry to see if it's a male or female because for the breeding I still have to wait for a while hahaha
