Hello from Dargo and Myself.

Hi All,

Just thought I would say a quick hello.

My names Scott and I have recently become the proud owner of a baby corn.

And this is Dargo, tucking into his feed.

Can anyone tell me what morph etc Dargo is.

I was told he was a chocolate albino or something like that.

Hope you like him, he just shed the day before.

The only problem I have had with him is that he shed a near complete shed, but a little was left on his tail. We are talking about 3mm if that. I wet a cloth and let him rub through my hands, a little of the shed came of, but it also bled at the same time. Should I be worried? It seems ok now and I can't see any skin (although it maybe to small to see).

Another quick question, he has been on 2 medium pinkies (4g total) for a few feeds now (every 5 days), should I consider increasing onto larger feed? He is about 16g and I am using the Feeding plan as recommend on this site.

Hope to here from you all soon.

Regards

Scott.

He's lovely! He's an anery, aka anerythristic corn. For his next shed you could try adding a humid hide when he goes blue (small tub with damp kitchen roll works well) or misting his viv.

I misted his tank and added damp moss to his hide this time, I was impressed it nearly all came off at once. Just concerned about the bleeding when I attempted to remove the final bit on the tip of his tail. Didn't press to hard and made sure it was nicely soaked. I think its all off now, although its hard to tell with the tails at this age being so small.

That's a shame. For removing stuck shed without any possibility of pressure I've used a 'snake-o-bath' It's a (ventilated) lunchbox with a wet flannel and a stone for rubbing against. Add snake for 1/2 an hour and 'presto!'

Welcome to the forum!

Dargo is lovely :)

I used the 'snake-o-bath' the last time my son's corn shed, worked like a charm :)

Dargo is gorgeous!
I must wonder though, as a fan of farscape, is he named after Ka' Dargo?
or is that name from somewhere else?
anerythristics are a wonderful morph.

Welcome, beautiful anery!

If you are following the munson plan then Dargo will still be on double pinks untill he is 23g, at 16g having just should have started the double pinks.
Don't worry though, once he hits fuzzies you'll wonder where your little worm went.
