HI, new to snakes, kinda. I caught garter snakes by the hand full as a kid. As a hobbyist however I started with small rodents then newt/salamanders an allegator!! then fish and now snakes. I have just been trying to find what i like in a pet i guess. Something thats low maintenance and able to be handled seems to be my direction.

I have a 3+ year old ball python that I traded a fish setup for, Its name is tnepres T silent lol I didn't name it. Not sexed yet, its a real puppy dog though a bad one at that. It likes to pee and poo on me and my couch :p god there pee stinks.

Then I made the mistake of holding a corn snake at a petco and had to have it and had my first tragedy after only 2 days. It got out of the crappy critter cage I had for it and after 2 weeks of looking I found a shed by a vent down a level in my home and I decided it wasnt worth hacking into my vents. Its been about 6 weeks now so I figure it should be dried up by now :p. I recently got a anery corn from a guy south of me in lakeville I saw on craigs list and have it in an actual aquarium.

I'm good on snakes now for awhile I think though I do still have a 125gal aquarium from when I kept fish and I like what I see of jungle carpet pythons, rainbow boas, and hognose snakes :D

ps. i have no idea how to post pics i don't see an option :p

Hi, Welcome to the forum!

To post pics, copy the url of the picture, then when you are typing your message you see the little pic of the mountain/sun on top (next to the bold, italics, underline, text color). Click that and it will bring up a box to paste the url of the pic.

Coincidentally I was in Blaine somewhat recently. I have an aunt/cousin in Golden Valley and my cousin plays soccer and they had some tournaments at the sports complex in Blaine.

Oh funny! I live north of there a bit, so I the pic has to be online to be pasted? can't do it from pc?

As far as I know you have to do it from a url online. If you go to photobucket.com you can create an account and upload pictures from your computer there, then copy the direct link url given.

Nice snakes but I recommend holding off and keeping that 125 as a fish tank.

The problems with living up here is its too dry in the winter, some times I have problems with snakes and shed problems.
If you want to get into larger snakes, i recommend getting a more of a sealed cage like an animal plastics or even the local Monster cages and Boaphile cages. Both companies are near by the Twin Cities.

But for corns, I like using my sweater box tubs to keep them in.

Yeah yer right, I'm pretty happy with my two buddies atm. I bougth some sphagnum moss and made a moist hide for my corn and will buy a larger rubber made container and do the same for my ball later incase they don't drink enough. I still do bathe them at liest once a week mainly cause i like to watch them swim and they seem to like to pee in the water lol. I still do try to mist at liest once a day.

You can upload a limited number of pics, if you choose. To do that you start off by;

Click.bmp

Scroll down till you see this and click it;

Manage%20Attatchments.jpg

A new dialog box will come up and look like this;

Man%20Attatchments%20Upload.jpg

Click the "browse" option and search for your file. When you find it, click on it, then click the upload file button;

UploadFile.jpg

Close the dialog box. Type anything you need to type in the text box then click post. Your image should appear. Just remember that your image cannot be larger than 600 x 800 pixels.

Hope that helps!
