Help finding live pinky in Manhattan

Hey guys, I really need some help... Recently my baby cornsnake has decided not to eat anymore. I've always fed him f/t pinkies, but for some reason he's been refusing them more and more, and it's been almost a month since he last ate. I want to try feeding him a live pinky, but I dont know where to find them. I live in downtown Manhattan. Does anyone know any pet stores around here that might have live pinkies? Thanks a ton!!!

Sometimes males will go off feed in the spring. Not usually when they're under a year though (someone correct me if I'm wrong).

I wouldn't stress out too much. My cali king is under a year old and she only ate 3 or 4 times between October and February. Now she eats whatever I put in front of her and looks for more.

Maybe find a petstore that breeds mice and have them call you.

I dont know how much longer this little guy can last without food. He wasn't too big to start with, and now he looks very skinny to me. He has only fed twice in the past 3 months, and its been a month since the last time he ate. I've had him for about 8 months, and this only started happening 3 months ago.
He's not really moving much anymore even during night time. I've tried leaving him alone in the dark with a pinky, only to find it uneatten in the morning. I've tried wriggling it infront of him, but he never seems interested and always turns away. The only thing I can hope for is that maybe a live pinky will make him want to feed.

You need to look up Vinman....He's a member on here and he has a phone number by his pic.....My geography isn't great....But I think he lives by you....

Also look up what to do about problem feeders using the search feature on this site. People have all sorts of tricks like scenting with a lizard, tuna, etc...

How big is the snake? Have you been monitoring its weight? If not, you should start.

I tried live when I was in your position with my cali, and she didn't eat that either. But one day she just "switched on". Don't give up hope.

Good luck.

thanks for the replies!
I spent about half a day walking around my neighborhood, visiting almost every petstore i came across, and i finally found one that sold live pinkies, but only occasionally. The owner said they have a few breeding pairs, but live pinkies are in high demand, so it's hard to rely on them. When I went, they only had 3 live pinkies, and I bought 2, which my snake happily gobbled down. I guess he's set for now, but I would still have to find a more reliable source.

By the way, thanks for the suggestion, I'll send a pm to vinman, since he lives around here, to see if he knows of any stores that sell live pinks.
