I suggest you buy a calendar and count off the days. then mark them yes he fed no he didn't. It will help you see what your doing

Now this is just my opinon, but my snakes have done well and are nice and big on just feeding once a week. Usually on Sunday, but sometimes it's a day or so more or less.

Again, as others mentioned see what works best for you. As long as they are taking food, and getting fed the proper meal - there is a little 'slither' room.

Good luck!

Seconded!

I have a small notebook that I use for making notes every time my Au is fed, when he sheds a skin, or if anything else significant happens, like weight gain or whatnot. Nothing too complicated, just the date and what he ate, usually—sometimes with comments like "Hungry fatty!" if he really strikes at the mouse. :grin01:

I'd have a hell of a time trying to keep track of his schedule and development if I didn't write it down, ha ha. It's also pretty useful as a history in case your snake has any health problems (heaven forbid).

I keep a recipe box next to Eddy's cage with 3X5 note cards inside. I write down the date and whatever information(amount fed, regurges, sheds, etc) is relevant at the time. I also check his weight and length periodically and take a picture of him at the same time and put it in with the cards so I can see how he's progressing.

As for your scenario, if I fed on Thursday night, I'd check to be sure he's poo'd on Sunday, then if he has, I'd feed on Monday night or possibly Tuesday(depending on what my schedule allowed). If he poo's on Monday, then I'd feed Tuesday night.
