Hi folks i took a quick pic of my new crimson for you all to see. His name is "Byte" and is a male (using the methode i described on )this post ) im not sure of his exact age but he is young, can anyone take a quess??

he is ready to shed just now but he is still very scared of his new enclosure, which im worried about as i will have to move him again soon to a new larger tank.

what do you think he is a wee cutie isnt he?

Anyways im going to try and leave him in that tank for as much time as possable so that he settles down more before he is moved as i think it may not be to healthy for him to be moved again so soon, what do you think?

Anyways i'd like to thank everyone on this forum as they have helped me settle my fears about the health and progression of this little chap.

thanks guys/gals :))

First of all, nice little crimson! I too am getting a pair of crimsons soon...(this coming sunday)
I want to take some pics too...but my stupid digi cam is not working...so I guess that I'll have to get a new one....(infact I did...and it's coming already....very soon..)

Secondly....I know how addictive this forum is....as you can see my status...."Member with NO life".....yes...I admit...hahahaha

Now, I will try to answer your questions...

"im not sure of his exact age but he is young, can anyone take a quess??"
I would guess that he/she is around 2 months old. He/she looks to be healthy and small. So it should be a 2002 hatchling. Since hatchlings hatch out around July - Oct (most of them...) I'd say around Aug since that is when most of the snakes pop out....so I would assume that it's around 2 months old

"what do you think he is a wee cutie isnt he?"
nope.....but a real cutie!! Very nice too..

"Anyways im going to try and leave him in that tank for as much time as possable so that he settles down more before he is moved as i think it may not be to healthy for him to be moved again so soon, what do you think?"
Good I think thats a good idea. Let him rest there for a few days before you move him/her......let it settle down a bit...

If you have any other questions, please come back to this forum and ask!! I am sure that there are tons of people out there that are willing to help you!!
