My snake is always hiding in his cave??

When i first got him he was biting me all the time.

He has now calmed down alot of only jumps a little when i first pick him up but he is always hiding. Im not sure if he comes out alot at night as im asleep.

Why do you think he is always hiding?

It's the nature of corn snakes. They tend to "sleep during the day. They are sort of a nocturnal creature. So if you want to stay up late and check them out then.

Sometimes he is sticking his head out the cave but most of the time He asleep.

I was also wondering if snakes close there eyes?

Also how do snakes see? Is it vision like ours?

No,...corn snakes have no eye lids, thats why you should check for eye caps when they shed.

"do snakes see? Is it vision like ours?"

That a good question for Google.

Most corns hide a lot. I have only seen my adult male out once the entire time I have owned him. My hypo lav adult and my baby I will see out occasionally but my female amel is the most curious of them all she will peek her head out and watch me whenever I am in the apartment and I see her cruising the tank if I get up late at night ro come in after dark.
