• Hello!

Either you have not registered on this site yet, or you are registered but have not logged in. In either case, you will not be able to use the full functionality of this site until you have registered, and then logged in after your registration has been approved.

Registration is FREE, so please register so you can participate instead of remaining a lurker....

Please be certain that the location field is correctly filled out when you register. All registrations that appear to be bogus will be rejected. Which means that if your location field does NOT match the actual location of your registration IP address, then your registration will be rejected.

Sorry about the strictness of this requirement, but it is necessary to block spammers and scammers at the door as much as possible.

Hosting pictures on other sites?

I never quite understood what you do to post a picture that is being hosted on another site picture. How does it work and how do you do it?

To insert an image hosted by another site click the "IMG" button when posting a message. It will then ask you for a web address. Type (or cute & paste) the address to the photo you'd like loaded. Thats it.

Yup, or you can type the actual string...

Code:
[img][url]http://www.whatever.com/yourimage.jpg[/url][/img]

I believe you can also do...

Code:
[img=http://www.whatever.com/yourimage.jpg]Here's a title for your image that's displayed when you move your mouse over it[/img]

But somebody will have to double check on that second one for me. Not 100% sure.

I'm lazy, so....

say I wanted to give you all an address for a picture while I am writing this reply.

First, I'd go to where the picture is. Then I'd left click on the "http://" information up in the web-address area to highlight it. Then I'd right click on it to get a drop down of choices. I'd then left click on "Copy."

Second, I'd come over here to this forum and start a reply, or a new thread. When I wanted to give the web-address for my picture, I would right click to get my drop down screen and left click on "Paste." That will automatically write the web-address for my photo.

Of course, this only works on a PC (IBM clone). I don't know anything about MAC's, so a Mac user would have to give those instructions.

To reinterate:

Go to the photo site.
Left click on web-address.
Right Click on "Copy."
Come back here.
Right Click on where you want the information to appear.
Left click on "Paste."

BOOM
