Hovabator?

According to the people from thebeanfarm.com, the turbofan model has a tendency to dry out reptile eggs. So I would go for the other model.

I will agree with Mark--I have a few Hovabators--all standard models. The standard model is not that good at holding in moisture. They are, however a good way to start off.

Why use an incubator? None of the breeders I know including myself use them for colubrid eggs. All you need is a plastic box, moist vermiculite and a warm location. On top of a refrigerator works fine. If you feel you have to have one, get a back up thermostat. The first time you have one of those things malfunction and cook your eggs you'll stop using them.IMHO
 
That is good advice Tim! I totally agree. One year I used a plastic container with moist vermiculite and left the container on the stairsteps of my house. The upstairs is not cooled so it gets very hot up there. The more steps you go up the warmer it gets. This allowed me to adjust the temps by going up or down steps depending on if the temp needed to go up or down. So I checked the temps on super hot or cool days & this method worked well. All eggs hatched.

Now I still use a plastic container with vermiculite but keep it in a heated rack that is controlled by a thermostat.
