How big is the average hatchling? I'm curious my clutch is on day 54 and i cut open a green moldy egg which was pretty collapsed. The corn inside was alive and about 9 inches he didn't really move but squiggled a bit. I know I should have waited it out, but I thought the egg died.
 
12 inches. The smallest I've measured was 10 inches. It came out of an egg 3/4 the size of the rest of the eggs in the clutch. It survived and grew to normal size, though. Bill Love once told me the smallest he's measured was 10 inches, too.
