how can u tell, boy or girl?

How can u tell if it's a boy or girl? I've herd u look at their rear and if it's not as fat or round but long it's a girl. There's something like that can anyone post some pictures of a male and females, I guess rear-end to compare a boy and girl (preferring hatchlings but adults are OK). thanks

In general a male has a longer tail that tapers more gradually after the vent. A female's tail is shorter and tapers off faster after the vent.

Now I stress the word *generally* here, because there is no definate way to tell without probing.

If the snake is a hatchling you can try popping although again unless done by someone who really knows what they are doing its easy to make a mistake. Its also supposed to be possible to tell the sex by counting scales, but also not accurate.

Getting your snakes probed by someone who is experienced is probably yor only way to be 100% sure whether you have a male or female.
