Im so glad to have her and i'd like some pictures of her but i dont know when to get her out. I got her monday evening.. The only reason i have gone into her tank is to fill her water bowl..They said i should feed her at least by saturday.. So should i wait till then to take her out? Oh yeah and i think i spooked her yesterday when i went into the room and she went under her coconut waterbowl in the orner of her tank and she hasnt come back out is she stuck? She's still back there as im typing this.. And should i buy little branches for her or does she pretty much perfer the ground? Because she likes going on top of a little rockhouse i bought for her and hide in the little vine/leafs.
 
You can take her out for a few minutes now. Short, daily handling times seem to work best in the beginning. It's great that you gave her a few days to settle in. If you feed her on Saturday, you don't want to handle her (except to put her back in her cage) for at least 24-48 hours. (I tend to go the longer route) and then go back to some daily handling. Looking forward to seeing photos!

Sounds like I may have been too conservative with my new snake. She's 6 months old, but I didn't even touch her for the first 10-12 days. By the second feeding, I picked her up long enough to put her in the feeding container. My first feeding was done on a clean plate inside her tank...I was worried that she would drag the food onto the substrate, but she didn't.

She just ate yesterday, so she won't get handled again until tomorrow. I'll step up the handling schedule a bit knowing this...
 
unless i am working (24hrs shifts) or i just fed him, i handle mine all the time. i've only had him for about 2.5 weeks but i try to handle him daily. he is about 5-6 months old. the only time he tried to strike at me was the first day because he was in the cage and i just gave him fresh water, i was digging the bowl into the substrate and i guess i made him nervous and he took a little strike at me. but now i can grab him right after waking him up and i have no problem getting him. he is my first snake but now i've gotten pretty comfortable with him.
