how long can hatchlings been kept together

Hi guys I am thinking of breeding my corn next year and was wondering how long after hatching can baby corns be kept together or should they be separated straight away

I think it would be wise to separate them as soon as you can. I've seen awful pictures of baby snakes that tried to eat each other. It's probably also less stressful for them, and it seems like those first few weeks can be crucial in getting a baby snake to eat, so I'd want to stress them as little as possible! I guess it would also be good so you can see exactly when each individual baby has shed, pooped, etc. without any doubt.

I don't know the real answer since I've never bred my snakes but the above just seems like what would be best?? Babies can stay in pretty small containers for the first couple weeks, like little food containers with holes inside.

Separate them ASAP. Technically you could leave them together for a while, but the general rule is to separate them straight away (avoids stress, avoids them eating each other, easier to keep track of health, etc.)
You can buy a bunch of pre-drilled dixie cups from a place like The Bean Farm:
http://beanfarm.com/product_info.php?cPath=1249&products_id=5717
They are $0.25/each and are large enough to house a baby.
Although, I would go for something bigger, like a sandwich-sized container since it is easier to fit a water dish and hide into.
I have been collecting rectangle deli containers this year for hatchlings, like these:
http://www.amazon.com/World-Centric...s=miscellaneous&ie=UTF8&qid=1310104272&sr=1-2
Possibly there is somewhere online to buy less than 900 of them. *Shrugs*

Bottle caps can be used as water dishes and toilet paper tubes as hides. So, really, it doesn't cost much at all to house them all separately, and it protects the babies.
