I have 2 04' cornsnakes. They are both eating every 5 days 1 pinkie each. When do I bump them up to 2 pinkies each? Also how can you tell if they are still hungry after 1 pinkie?

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Happy New Year to you Dana!! I have 4 '04 hatchlings all approx 5-6 months old. They are all on 2 large pinkies/peach fuzzies. Yours should eat 2 pinkies with no problems. The best way to tell if they are still hungry is to put them in their feeding container with the 2 pinkies. Mine usually go right from the first to the second without any hesitation at all. Depending on whether or not they are about to shed, in which sometimes they will only take 1, sometimes they wont eat at all and I just wait until they've shed and feed then. Let us know how they do!

Well I tried feeding 2 pinkies each. My husbands male ate the first one a few minutes later he ate the second. We waited 30 mins put him back in his viv and got out my female. We layed the pinkies in there first and she started grabbing at them before my husband had set her down. So thank you JT for the help. I really appreciate it. Now I just have to wait and see if either of them does the big :puke01: regurge. Thank again.

I fed my corn two pinkies and he ate both of them, that was about a week ago. Since then he's been hiding, usually he would have been out and about a couple days ago. Might he be shedding?

Hi barret. He might be shedding, but if you've just doubled his normal feed it will take him a bit longer to digest.

Well its been almost 48 hours since feeding mine 2 pinks each and no regurge. yeah! Question? Should I still feed them every 5 days on 2 pinks each or wait until every 7 days?

To be honest, the choice is yours. Obviously they will grow faster if you feed more frequently. I tend to feed hatchlings every 5 days until they move onto bigger prey and then I switch to every 7 days.

Yah he has to be shedding, I looked at him today and his whole body changed colours, plus his eyes were really hazed, so hes definantly shedding, thanks for your help.
