i have an 8 week old motley cornsnake who i feed every 4-5 days...i feed pinkies...and he eats them right up....

as he gets older, how long should i space his feedings?

any helpful advice would be appreciated.....he is my first snake so i want to make sure he gets the proper feedings and environment...

thanks all

From my experience, you don't really change the feeding pattern until they are full grown (depending on it’s size, every snake grows at its own rate), and even then they should be feed weekly.

Continue to feed it as you have been, keeping in mind, that you must increase the size of the meal when the time comes.
What I usually do is increase the number of pinks first, and then increase the size.

Remember, the meal should be about the size of the thickest part of the snake.

Also, keep in mind, that each snake is different, so there is not "set" rule, per say...

hope that helped...

Personally I'm having success with 4-5 days on pinks, then 5-6 days on peaches, 7 days on hoppers/small adults, and my biggest corn is on 10-14 days on adult mice now. This is giving a nice steady growth rate over the year, and seems to work well for me
