im still kinda new with snakes and ive seen many pictures of people with their snakes outside letting them go freen in bushes and stuf...i was wondering how safe that was and if, being a rookie, would it be ok for me to do that for my amel.

I think it depends on how "calm" the snake is. Plus, if I did it at all...I would sooner take an adult outside than a tiny juvenile who is easily lost under a bush....

You can never be too careful though...I dunno if I will ever take mine outside. There are just too many risks involved for me, such as losing him (god forbid!) , mites, etc.

For me personally, the only time I take a snake outside is to get a picture, and then I only to this on a rare occasion. Once the picture is taken, the snake comes right back to the cage. I just want to minimize the risk of the snake picking something up or being injured. I've never taken small snakes or hatchlings outside.
