Hypo or not??

Question about my yearling Pewter, Petri. I've been trying to determineif he is hypo or not, based on various articles, and pictures of pewters and hypo pewters... He has BLUE/silver eyes and a black pupil. All the hypo pics I see have the same eye. All the pics of regular pewters appear to have solid black eyes.. Plus, he is pretty light in color...and has a very white tummy...

Any advice from the experts would be greatly appreciated! :)

My phone takes poor pics, but here is Petri. As you can see, he is pretty light..

The only real way to tell is with breeding trials. Is he a light pewter? He sure is and he is beautiful but there is no way without breeding him we could say for sure that he is hypo. He could just be simply a light pewter. Now you could send cornsnakesforsale_com a message on here. Like I believe I was telling you when you were here I think it was his brother that bred these guys so he might be able to check and see if hypo is a possibility.

My son is actually planning to breed him in a couple years, for FFA. :) We just will need to buy a female at that time since Venus is not going to be bred. :)

No I don't although again I would check with cornsnakesforsale_com. He is another local breeding (just down the street from me) that I know has a few snakes breeding age or near breeding age available. I believe he has some fires available so at the very least you could make bloodred babies depending on what their hets are.

If it is in fact a blizzard than you can do that. You would get charcoals unless petri is Het amel.

:) very cool. Yah, we aren't planning on anything special for the breeding, so even if they are all just cute little normals, that would be fine! :)
